This is the digital PDF download of The Book of Jonah, a 50 page graphic novel from the series: The Word for Word Bible Comic. The comic presents every word of the ancient scripture, within its historical, cultural and geographical context.  It is aimed at mature readers but is appropriate for ages 12+. 

This edition included the New International Version (NIV) translation of the Bible and verse number are labelled at the bottom of each page for reference.

The Story: The people of Israel's Northern Kingdom have suffered under the heel of foreign invaders and their own corrupt kings for too long. Jonah, a prophet of YHVH, longs to deliver a message of hope to his downtrodden people. But the “gracious and compassionate” God he serves has prepared a different assignment for him; one he is not going to like at all.
